At the PWA World Cup in Fuerteventura, Jordy Vonk experienced a very different result compared to last year:
During the July 2026 event, Jordy Vonk finished 14th overall.
The Performance: He started very strong, hovering around the top 5 during the first few days of competition. However, he suffered from unforced, crucial errors in both semifinal rounds while in qualifying positions.
He noted it was a mentally draining event where he lacked proper focus in the final stages, but he remains determined to learn from these mistakes.
It was a brutal and long event with strong winds and heavy chop on top of the swell which made it a very demanding event.
