My name is Winifred Meester. Since 1996, I have worked in the Oil and Gas industry, a career that has taken me across the globe. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have worked with so many talented people and complex technologies over the decades.
Now, I am channeling that experience into a new mission: to decarbonize the windsurfing industry.
The industry has long been "in love" with foam and fiberglass, but at a high environmental cost. I find myself asking: Isn't there a better, more sustainable solution?
In this journey, which I've named the "Soul Surfer Project," I am exploring new techniques to eliminate the toxic styrene foams and harmful fossil resins that currently dominate the market.
It is a true honor to take on this challenge. Join me as I redefine the craft.
